Cera - 3rd Place

Congratulations to Grace Faith Hennessey and her bird Cera!

My Lovebird, Cera

My lovebird is a peach face named Cera.  One day when
I was sleeping on
the couch my Mom carried me upstairs.  Little did I
know that John was
bringing me my new lovebird.  Cera rode the whole hour
and a half trip
in the breast pocket of John's shirt.  My brother,
David, woke me up by
letting Cera's feet touch my nose.  I was five and I
loved naming all
of Mommy's birds after my favorite videos. The Land
Before Time
dinosaurs were my favorite back then.  Cera got his
name from the bossy
three-horn.

Cera is now seven years old.  He can do alot of
different tricks. Cera has his own remote control
Viper that
he likes to ride around in.  He can find his way to
his cage on the second floor from our basement.
Sometimes I tie a rope to his dump truck and pull him
around our dining
room.  Cera is very trusting and will let anyone do
anything to him.  He
loves letting me take pictures of him.  He's also the
only bird we have
that is potty trained.  Everyone says Cera is the best
bird that we have.
