Judge's Comments:
Thsi is one of my favorite shows. The Great Lakes group is so incredibly well organized and so hospitable. I always look forward to judging the show.
This was the Great Lakes Regional show. A very good turn out of 85 birds being exhibited. The Fischer's green were shown in quite some number. It was a very good opportunity for me to spend quite a bit of time discussing what we are looking for in these birds. Some confusion has come about due to the Type I versus type II class. Hopefully all questions were answered. A very good young green Fischer's did very well and placed in the top bench.
The peachfaced were very strong. An exceptional whitefaced medium blue won the show. This bird had very good color. A normal green opaline also stood out. This bird was of exceptionally good size for this mutation. It looks like our exhibitors are on the way to getting this mutation to full show quality.
