Judge's Comments:
This was a quite good show with many excellent birds. Sometimes it was very difficult to select the first bird of each section because any one of at least 3 or 4 birds could have been placed first. There were many champions and grand champions to be registered in the show and in that sense the top bench could have gone in many different ways without unfairness to the birds or exhibitors. |

If you had brought a rare lovebird you would have had a 1-16 chance of winning a division and a 1-9 chance in winning $1,000, $500, or $250. Hmmmmm! I delight in judging such quality birds raised by our ALBS members. Our division was stewarded, secretaried excellently. Condition of top birds showed. Conformation was to be commended. Those bloodlines you will want to get for your aviaries. Next year with the Great American being in the South we hope to see all of you and maybe some more exhibitors as we travel around the country. Always our members are the backbone of the Society and as judges we are honored to judge your birds that reflect the time spent breeding, selecting and traveling with them to shows. |

| Again an honor to judge the Greater Chicago Show with 125 birds exhibited. Their show has always had such quality entries. 26 greens, 23 blues, 6 green pied, 9 blue pied, 10 American cinnamon, 26 Australian cinnamon, 20 violets, 1 longfeather, and 4 champions were a delight to judge. The top bench was outstanding and took some careful considerations. The orangefaced green pied was superb and couldn't be beat. The show location with convention center attached was excellent. Opalines shown were educational for exhibitors. I look forward each year to see the progress in this development. Unselfishly members came forward and supported stewarding and secretaring to make my job as a judge run smoothly. |

| This was the smallest show I have ever judged, but we all had a great time because it allowed us a lot of time to talk, with many details, about each species and its mutations. All questions were answered and we also had a bi-lingual audience with a lot of Spanish speaking people and all comments were given in both languages, which was kind of a new experience to many. |
