Judge's Comments:

This was the start of balloon Fiesta week in Albuquerque and the city was excited about the event. Many people there were surprised when they asked if I was there for the Fiesta and I answered, "No". We did get to see some of the balloons rising on both Saturday and Sunday as we were on our way to the show and it was impressive.

This was the second day of a two day show and the birds certainly showed it. A few ere somewhat more than active but most were complacent to lethargic. They just wanted to get the show over. We had 50 birds entered by 5 exhibitors. Four of the exhibitors were represented in the top 10.

A beautiful WF Violet was placed first. The uniformity and depth of color was really something to see. A green Fischer's was second. The bib on this bird was just what we should all look for. There were no novice exhibitors. The best unflighted was a yellow Fischer's. There were two Champion birds entered and they would have placed third and fourth.

My thanks to all the members of the organization for their work on this show. I know it is a long term effort and both the exhibitors and ALBS appreciate all you do. I owe special thanks to Jan Ward for her hospitality and to the Division Secretary, Janet Garcia. Also thanks to steward Glenda Pullum and to Dave Pululm for attaching the ribbons.
