This was the 53rd Annual All Bird Show put on by the Fort Worth Bird Club. This organization has experience and it showed. The "Pot luck" buffet on Friday night featured home cooked food in an atmosphere of comradery with club members, exhibitors, and judges. The show started on time and there was a lunch similar to the Friday night buffet. Unfortunately for me, I was unable to join the club members for a dinner on Saturday night. I am sorry I missed it.

This was a two day show packed into one day. The Love Birds had already been judged once by the timeI started. By early afternoon, after having been through the morning grind. The birds showed differenly from the way they were in the morning. It was apparent that some of them had already had enough.

We had 66 Love Bird entries form 4 exhibitors. We had 2 Abyssinians, and I was surprised to find that there were no Fischer's no Masked. Our largest section was 12 Green Peachfaced followed by 11 each in Blue and in Longfeathered. Most of the birds were in good show condition but some did not show well because of the extended time frame.

A cobalt Peachfaced was first followed by a normal Green and then a Seagreen. The second place bird was exhibited by a young man from Louisiana who did know what the show was all about. We will hear more from him in the coming years. It is nice to see young people interested in showing.

My thanks to Sharon Cason for her work as Steward and to Paula Gardner for keeping the records. The club members can be proud of their officers and their work in putting on a great show.
