With 2 weeks notice a show was formed and exhibitors came. Our host The Society of Canary and Finch Breeders are to be thanked for providing a location for our show. 8 Exhibitors with 59 entries of good condition and conformation. The first place masked was outstanding. The 2nd green peachfaced was a picture of The Standard. There were a number of Fischer's but when it came time for top bench The Fischer's got bumped off. The Violet Whitefaced was a "Conformation" bird. Some birds had participated in the SPBE show just before. I placed on top bench a nice Australian Cinnamon Opaline. The opaline mutations are increasing and more diverse. Very commendable. |
