Judge's Comments:
November 10th, the last scheduled show of 2007 in the North East. Sponsored by NELEA and held by Chester County Birdcb PA. The hall, very roomy and bright wth plenty of viewing room. There were 60 birds entered by 8 exhibitors, 7 of them made it to the top bench. There were 8 rares, 2 Fischer's, 3 Masked and 47 Peachfaced with all sections but longfeather, represented.
Rares exhibited were 1 Nyasa, 1 Black-cheeked and 6 Abyssinian(2 adults 4 unflighted, 2 of the young being mediums.) Fischer's: 2 blue pieds. Masked: 1 violet, 1 dilute violet, and a pied. Peachfaced: most sections represented with 15 greens the highest and 2 violets the smallest.
I think all exhibitors were happy. Janet Landvater took the top spot with a very nice female Abby just beating out Kera Groves' Australian Cinnamon Opaline The 2nd place bird might have won but it was in a cage that caused it to crouch down because of the steep angle of the cage top. Special mention to the 10th place finisher a really nice Orangefaced Green Violet which was the best unflighted. This belonged to John Ferrigno, one of the Northeast's newer exhibitors. Congrats John, you now graduate from the rank of Novice.
